Taking stills from DVD's?

Is it possible to take stills, or images from a DVD that are able to be printed? Do any programs allow such a capability?

Please let me know if so, I really need to be able to take some stills from a DVD.

never underestimate the power of screenshots. Just pause the DVD in your mac at the point you wana take a piccy of and then shift,,4 it

Under 10.4 at least when DVD Player was active screenshots were disabled, i should think it's the same under 10.5, however, you can get round this by playing the dvd in VLC

Duff-Man says...indeed, screenshots still do not work under 10.5 when DVD Player is active. As mentioned above, the solution is to open the DVD with VLC instead and then grab the screen (or portion of the screen if you wish) - I just use the Grab pgm in the Utilities folder - works perfectly...oh yeah!
