I videotaped a church musical in widescreen 16:9 on my digital video tape camcorder. I then recorded it onto a DVD in widescreen and want to get this video into iMovie. How is this done?

I tried Handbrake but it seems to have squished it and turned the 16:9 aspect ratio into a forced 4:3. I wasn't able to get that into iMovie.

I currently have the video on a DVD and need it in iMovie for editing. Can you help me??

Thanks!

There are different settings in Handbrake. On the bottom, click on "picture settings" to change the size.
