**LONG STORY BUT MUST READ** I posted this in the iPad section as well but it's something that all apple customers should read.
I purchased a iPad air at launch and I was having constant problems with several things on it. As a developer I knew it was not just a software issue. So I called apple about a week ago and explained the situation. They presented me with two options, send it in for a new one or drive to the closest apple store and do it there which is a tad over 200 miles. I decided to make the trip and it was the first time I have ever been in that particular apple store(I've been in roughly ten). I can not even tell you how bad the customer service was! They treated me like I was a bum begging for change. I had my son and I was absolutely furious! I was going to trade it out but after the way I was treated I took my money back and left before I blew my cool in front of my son. I buy ALOT of stuff from apple and have for years and years both personally and for my business. I thought about it all the way home and I had just purchased a new macbook pro also and I decided I was going to return it and be done with apple. So I got home and called apple to get a label to return the pro and when I was asked why I simply told them. The lady was very polite and said she was sorry and emailed me a return label. About an hour later I got a call from a gentleman from apple corporate and they wanted to know exactly what happened so I politely told him. He asked me what he could do to change my mind about apple and I said nothing. I didn't call for a hand out and I already own almost every apple product available. Cooler heads prevailed and I decided to keep the pro and I decided not to quit on apple because of one experience. So today in the mail I got a package from apple overnighted to me. I opened it up and it was a new 2tb time capsule. I was completely blown away. It had a hand written note in it from the gentleman I spoke with at corporate. I called him immediately and told him he didn't have to do this and he said I know we don't but we wanted to. Now that in my eyes is a top notch company who customer service us probably the best I have ever dealt with. It's because of that right there that I will support apple until the die I'm gone. I just wanted to share that story with you all. Sorry for the long read but thsnk you very much apple.
