$250 is a reasonable price for a winter jacket like that.
if you want it, i would say its a good investment.
if you dont want it...then dont spend $250 on a jacket...$250 can be put elsewhere.

Sorry...I don't think that we can talk you out of this one. Now I want one too!!

If you have a use for it and will use a reasonable amount of time, I see no reason why not to buy it. It is not that expensive for a jacket and if you will use it enough, then buy it.

Wow, it's like my Arcteryx jacket.....except not as good. :p

It's a cool jacket, but I doubt you'd ever use more than 2 or 3 of those pockets. I have a jacket with lots of pockets, and I still find that I only use 3 of them: the 2 hand pockets, and the napolean (horizontal) chest pocket. Everything goes into them. That's it. The rest, particularly the inside pocket(s), are never used. Why? Because unzipping the jacket every single time I want to change songs on my iPod is annoying, and quite frankly, unzipping the jacket means I let the warmth out (mine's a winter jacket).

Look for jackets from a company like Mountain Hardwear that are similar, but with only 3, 4, or maybe 5 pockets. ;) The jacket will likely be more waterproof and more breathable, but the same price.

I feel that my iPod should be where my hands are, which means it always ends up in my hand pockets. Of course, that means the cord has to be outside the jacket, which makes it look ugly. Waiting for bluetooth headphones to become popular, cheaper, and smaller is probably a better solution for me.

Also, unless I'm only going to use my mp3 player with this particular jacket, there's no way the headphone cable management system is going to be useful, as I wouldn't spend 5 minutes running the cable through the collar every time you want to use the jacket. I guess the easiest solution would be to buy a pair of earphones specifically for this jacket, and have another pair free for normal use. Depends on how nice your earphones are, and how much money you have, I suppose.

Saying all that, I really want a TRAVEL VEST, but in a military green if they had it. The orange is cool too. I'm not too big on conservative colours.

Oh, and their hoodie looks pretty sweet.

What a geekfest. :p I was reading through the ScottEVest forum :)rolleyes:) and saw a question regarding new garment materials. Here it is:

Now that you have the new clear material in the jackets maybe a future one could include a pocket on the sleeve where you can slip your itouch, pocket pc, smartphone, etc. in the top arm sleeve and have a little velcro flap that covers it so you can work things from that as well without having to unzip your jacket. Similar to how the wrist computer from Predator worked.

:D

Hmm, What do you do with those things?

I live in Tampa and it was 85* on Christmas so i'm not to sure how to use one..

Since it was a Scottevest I was about to say "It's a nerdfest, stay clear"... but it doesn't actually look that bad.

Still, it is a Scottevest. I will never buy one.
