I have several Mac Minis and one or two Pros connected to a 28" 1920x1200 monitor via a KVM switch.
I'm not sure if it's the aging hardware, adapters not fully compatible with the operating system...
This is a VGA KVM switch.
Often I'll have the output (monitor) be black and say no input found, or something about refresh rate.
Other times I'll see the resolution to be way off (lower) so it's the adapter<>VGA<>KVM<>monitor not passing the correct information.
I bought a 32" 2K monitor for a family member and I like it quite a bit, and I'm hoping that maybe I'll have better luck with a newer panel?
My question is about max resolutions used by the Minis. I have a 2010, 2011, and 2012 and their resolutions are not 2K. Will I see two black side bars or will the image be not proportional?
