Talk to text not consistently working

I have an Apple Watch nine. It is just the Wi-Fi kind. And I’ve never had issues with talk to text before but I have with this watch and as soon as I got it and upgraded to watchOS I’ve had nothing but problems. I will hit the microphone button and part of what I say comes out and then it stops and then I hit the microphone button again and it will sometimes pick up the rest of what I’m saying. Sometimes it works fine I’ve tried powering off the phone I have tried powering off the watch I have tried repairing it. I have no idea what to do but I feel like it might be a common problem
