Tap to click stops working

I've noticed this a few times but can replicate the fault when rebooting from boot camp into OS X.
The click function will work for a minute or so after logging into OS X then stops working.
Deselecting then re selecting the tap to click function fixes the problem.

It's the same here. I posted the problem in this other thread before I found this one. There are some suggestions over there. I have not tried them yet, so I don't know if they work.

I haven't found anything yet but in my case, it happens only after a reboot from BootCamp so I just change the option back

Did you ever find a solution to this?
I just experienced this myself, although I am not running windows of any sort. It simply stopped working, and was fixed in the way you describe, by going back to preferences and checking/unchecking 'tap to click' again.
