iPhone 13 Pro Tap to wake stops working

It seems randomly that maybe every day or so that my tap to wake functionality will stop working and the only way to resolve it is to restart my new iPhone 13 Pro.

When the issue is occurring, I am able to raise to wake and then touch functionality works as expected, but just can’t use it to wake the screen up.

Anyone else experiencing this? TIA!

I had this happen a few times on my 12 Mini. When it does this I generally just tap a little harder in another area of the screen and it wakes up. I have not had to reboot so far.

Same here. But i can unlock my 13 pro max simply by pressing power button. Plus, i found that if i rapidly rotate my phone, tap to wake would work again.
*rotate means:hold your phone with screen facing toward ground, and rotate 180 degrees to make your screen face toward ceiling. However, you still need to press the power botton when this method does not "fix" the issue.
