still cant figure out how to make the watch tap me for texts and emails.

And no matter what I do I can't get taps for NY Times alerts or Amex charges.

OP, need a lot more info to help probably, but are you getting any taps at all on anything? Are you setting mail and messages to mirror iphone for alerts?

Yea. Are you aware that if you're using your phone, you might not get watch taps, because the OS assumes you already know?
