Targa Cine YUV: how good(or bad) is this codec?

I've got an archive full of shows done with a cine wave card.

Wondering where Targa Cine YUV falls on the list of codecs.

Wondering what a modern upgrade would be.

And any comments people might have.

depends on the level of compression using the codec... a quick google search showed there are different data rates of Targa Cine YUV.

Can you open these in QT? What is the data rate?

haven't had access to the machine for a few days, but i think i remember the data rate being just over 20MB/sec
