The town without George Bailey
I searched all about the forum, but found nothing.

If I encrypt my home folder with filevault, can the encrypted home folder be viewed when my mac is in target disk mode, and mounted on another mac?

I hope not... target disk mode is so useful, but so dangerous.

As I understand it, FileVault stores the contents of your home folder inside an encrypted .sparseimage file. So, no, it can't be viewed on any computer without your filevault password.

Cool, thanks.

I don't need to enable filevault just yet, I was only going to use it on an upcoming trip where I won't have my ibook with me all the time.

I'm too lazy to test the theroy out myself right now :p
