Hey everyone having issues with using my 2011 imac as a display for my 2012 MacBook Air and 2011 Macbook Pro. Tried to connect both via thunderbolt cable and the imac wont enter target display mode. I read that when you connect a thunderbolt device to an imac it should automatically enter target display mode, when that didnt work I tried command + F2 and that did not work either. The imac recognizes the macbooks under the system information tab so i know that the thunderbolt cable is working. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get target display mode to work??? Thanks Justin

Thank you for the quick reply but neither of these links solve my problem, if you would take your time to read my post you would have learned that I already tried the instructions on the first link and i am using a thunderbolt cable to connect two thunderbolt equipped macs. Does anyone else know of a solution to the problem i am having?

Thanks
