Target Display Mode question

Hey guys, I have a question about TDM.

I am planning to use a VGA to Mini DisplayPort cable (with a PC) to use TDM on my mid-2010 21.5 inch iMac.

Will it work?

The Mid-2010 21.5-inch iMac does not provide target display mode - only the 27-inch at that time.
Target Display mode was not available until the 21.5-inch iMac 2011 models.

Also, you cannot use a VGA signal as a source with Target Display Mode.
