Target today highlighted recent expansions to its relationship with Apple, led by the growing number of "Apple at Target" locations with the dedicated Apple sales areas now available in over 150 Target stores.

Target says these Apple "shop-in-shops" feature Apple-trained Target Tech Consultants with twice the amount of space dedicated to Apple products compared to a typical Target store.

Ahead of the holiday shopping season, Target is also promoting extended trials of various Apple services for members of the retailer's free Target Circle loyalty program. Target Circle members can get a four-month free trial of Apple Fitness+, which Target says is the best trial offer available from any retailer.
"Apple Fitness+ is designed to be welcoming to all, no matter where you are on your fitness journey. Whether you're just getting started, trying something new or switching up your fitness routine, there are over 3,000 workouts and meditations to choose from, with new ones added each week, ranging from five to 45 minutes across 11 workout types and all led by our amazing team of motivating trainers," says Jay Blahnik, vice president of Fitness Technologies, Apple. "We look forward to bringing Fitness+ to even more people, and helping them lead a healthier day by being more active, through this collaboration with Target."
Beyond Fitness+, other Apple services will also be available under extended free trials for Target Circle members. Services such as Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple News+, and iCloud+ are currently available with three-month free trials for Target Circle members, but trials for select services will be extended to as long as five months as part of a holiday promotion starting next month and running through January 5.

This has long been needed. Every time I go to target, their Tech section seems to be stuck in the dark ages. Demo products are either out of date, not working, or just not even on display. For how forward Target has been in many other areas as of late, I'm shocked how long it took for them to catch up in regards to tech.

Seems like Target should focus on getting these 'Apple shops' in stores where there are no Apple Stores around. In my area, the two closest Apple Stores are at least a 3-4 hours away (in separate cities). I've got a few Target stores in my area, but none show as having the Apple Experience. Interestingly enough, the closest ones are also in the areas where there are Apple Stores. Oh well, I guess Best Buy will continue to get my business.

What’s next, Apple at BJ’s? Apple at Aldi? Apple next to those burner phones you buy at the convenience store? Apple in the 3 for 1 box at the Dollar Store? Why dont give them away with every purchase of a Meta Oculus Tokyo Drift while you’re at it.

That's great and all, but every Target near me almost never has any Apple products in stock. I always head to the electronic section when I'm at Target and everything is always sold out. Target needs to get their Apple inventory together.

In my country we do not have apple stores. The official distributor stores dont even let me try my own legal purchased software how the machines are capable to run it. I can just browse safari etc … nice trial lol

These kiosk-filled stores are kind of freaking me out. Worst Try is doing it, and it's really kind of stupid, because the same people run around between them so you are still just dealing with the same inept people, they just have a more 'corporate' spot to confuse and confound potential buyers. *sigh* If that is the 'future of retail', I predict a bleak future... *shrug*

Apple debuted it’s store-within-a-store concept with CompUSA and I thought it fared pretty well. I remember the kid CompUSA had permanently staff my local store went on to work for Apple.
