Walked into target this morning when they opened and managed to preorder a 64gb plus. Was told the ship date was still the 19th.

Lol Target. I had the worst possible pre order experience with them in 2012 when I was getting the 5. Never again.
DOn't get your hopes up. I was on my local Target's list and it was two weeks before they ever got any of the 5s in last year. I would guess the Plus will be equally tight. But no reason to cancel it, do like I did and show up at other stores on release day and maybe you'll get lucky!
I just got back from Target. I walked in and pre-ordered a 6+ 64GB. I asked the guy estimated time frame and he said with 100% confidence that they would have them on the 19th.
He did say the main reason he was so confident was that this particular store was the main hub for the region so they get the most stock.
That was good news. Now only time will tell.

That's what the guy told me when I pre ordered at Target 2 years ago. It was a disaster. Tons of people complaining because they didn't get any phones on release weekend.
