Targeted Time Machine Restore

I'm going to reformat my Mac and reinstall the OS due to some problems. How do you restore just
your iPhoto and iTunes libraries? The regular docs should be easy. Thanks!

Just do an archive & install and select "preserve users and network settings". No need to deal with Time Machine at all.
