Targus Defcon CL - Reliable?

I'm going to college and living in a dorm, so I bought a Targus Defcon CL PA410U when they were on sale. Haven't done any research on this lock til now and from reviews on Amazon it doesn't look good.
When I read a lot of those reviews I noticed that some people were confusing it for the PA400, but can't tell if all the negatives are from the mix up.

Could anyone either point me to some non mixed up reviews or tell me if I should get a new lock? And maybe recommend me one?
