I've been searching for a good solution for task and todo management to work with Hoogle calendar. I like google tasks, it's easy and simple but it doesn't do alerts or reminders. Todoist and Wunderlist do that and you can add them to show up on the calendar but you can't manage them without going to their app or site. With G tasks you can add on your calendar and check off, etc but again, no alerts.
If Apple reminders they work nicely but you can only add if you pick up your phone. It's nice to be able to add on your calendar. Most apps that integrate with reminders (busycal) don't have desktop interface. And as far as I can tel there is no way to show Apple Reminders on your Google Calendar.
What need is to be able to show reminders on GCal or have tasks with alerts. I guess the idea is if you need an alert use an event??
