I'm sure most of you know that Tax Cut has decided to not release a version for Mac this year.

Well I got a shiny metal box in the mail with a Windows version of Tax Cut.

Is it free? No.
Is it discounted? No. It's the same price as the web site
Does it mention there will be no Mac version? No.
Do they give you special offers? Sure to Windows only products.

Is H&R Block the worst marketing company in existence? Quite possibly.

My rant for the day.

H&R block doesn't need to advertise they have brand name recognition on their side. I would say apple is pretty bad, they don't have any direct marketing.

There is one company that's interested in supporting Mac users...Intuit has Mac versions of TurboTax 2006 (Basic, Deluxe, and Premier.)

Yup, they will get a new flock of Mac users, me among them.

Here is the previous thread about it.

They were interested in merely fleecing Mac users, so I'm suspicious of them. Besides, they couldn't even spell my name right--even though I entered it at registration correctly. :D

I'd rather use an online version of TaxCut.

I got a similar package of TaxCut, which you can see from the other thread--with my name spelt incorrectly. :D

I've been using TurboTax for years.
(heck yea, I do my own taxes. I LOVE IT!!!)
TurboTax is teh roxxorz.

Usually, you can get it for free or nearly free around April 15.
(which is also my bday, COUGH COUGH HINT! :p)

107 days until taxes are due! quick!
