I'm going to do my own taxes with turbotax as soon as I get my W2s. I'm a college student, so I was wondering what sort of deductions I could get. Does the Powerbook I purchased in September count? Living expenses, books, tution, ect...any of that count? BTW, if it matters, my parents claim me as a dependant. thanks

If your parents claim you as a dependent, you don't get to deduct ANYTHING, if I remember correctly. You are on THEIR tax bill.
