I have a 27" Thunderbolt Display and I'm considering buying one of the 2016 tbMBP. I'd like to connect the computer to my display with a single cable (i.e. charging, video out to the display, etc). I can obviously get video across using a USB-C -> Thunderbolt adapter but Apple have said the built in lightning cable on the display won't charge the tbMBP. So to have my tbMBP charge while using it docked, I would need to plug in power separately. What is the easiest way to get everything, including charging, with a single cable so I can just plug one thing in when I dock the laptop?
