TC external with windows

i got an TC with 2 HDD's externally. i can view the HFS+ disc on my mac. the other disc is NTFS and should be able to be read on windows. they are both connected to the same network.

i have a windows 7 pc how do i get to the shared NTFS HDD folder?

It's a shame you didn't get more of a response. I'm no network expert, but...

Since the W7 box will be connecting to the TC external disks via SMB, I don't think it matters (from the W7 box point of view) what format the disk is in... in other words, the TC takes care of dealing with the disk format. Also, I think that any disk attached to the TC should? (must?) be HFS+ to work.

Here's what I know: I have a USB hub connected to my TC (1st-gen) and a 16MB USB flash drive plugged into the hub. The flash drive is formatted as HFS+, and my Windows XP machine can connect wirelessly and read and write files to it just fine.

So, I think your problem is that the disk is formatted NTFS.

where would i find the tc in the windows os environment?

i can reformat without problems.
