Bought a brand new TC
Just ran airradar and it seems my TC and my entire network are using G....

Does anyone know why this is?

My network consists of

1) UMBP 2.66 - Purchased March 2009 - has n
2) iPhone 4 - has n
3) Airport express - has n

Why is this only using G????

Anyone know

Sorted it

Sorry for my stupidity - live in an old house, thick walls etc.

So am now using an airport express to extend my network, now getting a transmit rate of 73, as opposed to 52, next to the TC I get 140-150

Does anyone know why it uses 2.4Ghz and not 5Ghz????

Is there anyway I can help 'speed it up'?

5GHz has a harder time penetrating walls than 2.4GHz. It could just be that your walls are too thick. One way to ensure you're on the 5GHz band is to give that band a unique SSID. Then you can explicitly choose which band your devices join, and you can also see just how strong the 5GHz signal is as opposed to the 2.4GHz.
