I've got kind of an odd problem with my TC - I've had my printer hooked up to it for the last 5-6 months or so (since purchased) so that my entire network could access it (Brother HL-5140). Always worked great from my desktop (connected via wire to the TC), and usually worked from my work laptop (Dell junk, via bonjour). Occasionally I wouldn't be able to print from the laptop, but I didn't give it much thought, as it didn't happen often.
Fast forward to last weekend, and we re-arranged the entire library/computer room on a whim, placing the eMac far enough away from the ethernet port in the room that I turned on airport and called it a day. It's not impossible to reach, but I don't have any cat5 on hand long enough to make the reach. Anyway, now, the ability to print is almost completely gone, as though the TC can't wake the printer when the request is sent wirelessly. If I try to print, the print dialog will show that 14-16% of the job is sent (typically), and then it stalls (indefinitely). The only way to complete the print job is to either
a) run downstairs, and un-plug/re-plug the printer into the TC, or
b) reset the TC through the airport utility.
Both options, quite frankly, suck; but I'm not sure what to do to get this working proper again - and while I may eventually run some cat5 to speed up my backups, I'd like to get it working right.
Any ideas?
