Starting with scanning (Epson V500) old and sometimes VERY degraded slides and negative films, I am working on one particular slide, as well for the need to its 'restoration' as for the sheer fun of observing it cleansed by every retouch stroke.
So far AP does a very good job.
But, I experience all this retouching is slowing down the whole process. At this moment I already used 960 strokes (!!!) for half of this slide, although this time consuming effort in itself doesn't bother me, for I get successful intermediary results.

The question is - just to know in advance for all future efforts - if this slowing down is caused by an 'adding up' of all previous strokes by each new one. For as I understand the original slide, as the 'Master', is now changed constantly with 960 'Versions' that all have to be loaded in over and over again with every new stroke.
I presume I speak reason, but - just to make sure - am I right?
AP's own help function makes no mention of it.
