Teams / Outlook notifications do not clear when marked as read

I have had this issue in iOS 15. I have now upgraded to iOS 16 and the issue remains. When a new email or message in teams comes in, if I read it on my laptop or on the phone, it still remains in the notification center. Only when I swipe it clear does it go.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled teams and Outlook

Microsoft will deny the issue is their problem

Any ideas?
