I'm confused, are they contradicting themselves?

The title says: "Apple Notifies Developers: iPhone App Store To Launch Thursday Morning" -- so it's launching tomorrow for sure right?

Then they say: "Presumably the App Store will go live, along with iPhone 2.0 software in general, around that time."

Which is it?

I am a developer with an app that will be in the App Store and I have received no such notification.

No such notification received here either (at least as of this writing).

rob.

Companies?

Maybe they only sent it to people involved in COMPANIES? just a thought...i dont know..just a guess..

we have a store meeting tomorrow night in which we r instructed to download apps from the app store to our demos... so must be tomorrow sometime.

yea, pretty much the best store meeting EVER.

I would say everything is on a "when it's ready" deadline leading up to the launch. So when they are prepared to release it on the world, they will, with their goal to release it sometime before launch and if not...at launch. So any "it's going live at X time" comments are BS until confirmed by Apple. That includes the App Store, iTunes 7.7, and MobileMe (hadn't heard if that had launched yet).
