I have a hundred questions.

I saw the matte screen in the store prior to reading this. I thought it was great...BUT like all other apple screens--great. It looked like the 17" matte screen to me, just at 15". I would never have guessed that it was 412 nits. Also a 687 contrast ratio--matte. I think glossy automatically gives you an extra 100 or so. That is definitely at the high end of the high end for both nits for sure and the contrast ratio. Is this very accurate b/c I appreciate high nits for working near a window and watching videos b/c that's just how I roll even if true videophiles like really dim screens when calibrated. Some people are just full brightness type of folks.

How big a difference is 300 to 400 nits? B/c my current mbp is supposed to be nearly 300 nits, yet 400 nits did not look appreciably brighter to me in the store. But I also went in the morning and there was alot of natural light flooding the apple store's room but it was not near a window.

Also, the color gamut is 75%. What does 100% look like? I recall a Sony Z screen being about 100%. It did look nice, but almost too vibrant. They tested a Samsung. If I get an LG, will it also be at least 400 nits? It wouldn't be back to 300 would it (even though 300 I know is still bright). In the old generations, I found the Samsung and LG to be different in color tones but in terms of brightness and contrast and viewing angles, etc, to be of the same quality.

Most importantly, WHERE CAN I SOURCE THIS PANEL and can I put it in my current macbook pro? That's the ONLY reason I want to upgrade. Heck, can I buy another laptop using this panel (windows laptop is fine) b/c this is the panel that I want!
