Is this setup, or any other case with an open plateau, holding up well? As in, no scratches?

Seems as long as you have a raised lip that is higher than the camera lenses, and the raised lip is sturdy enough then the rear protection is okay for most open cases. Haven't seen any examples of a case with raised lip around the plateau causing damage to the plateau when dropped. If you want to be even safer, added a skin to the plateau (e.g. XtremeSkins) to help prevent scuffs/minor scratches.

Seems safe enough to me. Been using the TechWoven case for 2 weeks with no damage. I guess I have to be careful not to drop it though since the camera plateau so large.

I have had my techwoven case since launch day and my blue 17 pro is in perfect shape. Even the case is not showing any kind of wear.

The vulnerable spots on an iPhone are edges.

* The edges of the metal around the camera plateau.
* The edges of the metal around the front glass.

The TechWoven case, like most cases out there, protects the camera plateau edges just fine.

If you're worried that something pointed may drop onto the plateau, well, that sort of damage would damage the camera lenses as well, and virtually every case leaves lenses exposed.

If you're worried about scratches on the flat part of the plateau, you'd probably need something sharp and as hard as steel to scrape it. Where are you putting your iPhone that it will be in contact with something like that?
