For those who don't know.. I'm a matte dude. I had a beautiful Core 2 Duo 15" Unibody MacBook Pro with anti-glare finish which I sold for the new Core i7. Unfortunately my eyes aren't up to par to tolerate the higher resolution screen, so I had to get the glossy model with the standard resolution.

Now, I'm really considering paying the $200 for TechRestore to replace my glossy screen with their matte one. Has anyone had any experience?

What is the quality of their matte LCDs? Are they decent or cheap panels? Are they on par with the matte screens Apple offers?

I've emailed TechRestore asking about the quality of their LCD panels but their answer will obviously not be strictly true.

I can't help you on quality but if you are under warranty consider the fact that you're going to have to have them replace the old screen for you if you were in need of a repair through Apple. I have heard that they do use decent panels but whether they're high quality I am unsure.
