teh battery is amazing

my iphone 3gs beats the old nokias for charge time and how long it lasts, amazing considering all that stuff inside. really pleased with how fast it charges, i usually get through a solid day of use on one charge.

i know apple wanted to make it last a long time, thats why the 720p video recording was disabled.

does anybody use a battery extender? those big things you attatch to make it last a bit longer.

A battery extender would double the size of the iPhone.

LOL, the only way the battery on my 3Gs will last all day is if you have everything turned off. No wifi, no location services, no 3G, no push, fetch, etc. So basically with just EDGE running and manual emails it will last about a day and a half.

I think the battery on my 3G is great too. I agree I think the battery extenders are ugly unless they are creatively built into the case.

Apple needs to develop an OS that does better battery management. A phone should be able to last at least 24 hours on normal use.
