Hahahaha, nice.

People do that stuff though, so when someones say, looking for a Powermac G5, they'll throw just G5 in the auction title, so when you look up just G5, you get their results.

Not to mention 6 gazillion iPod accessories.

No kidding on the iPod accessories, I can't find a single accessory without running into 20 more other options and iPods. On the other side...a Powerbook G5 would be nice...Gotta love those auctions...

I'm a member of the London MUG (mac user group) email list, and we have one member who constantly refers to her (intel) iMac G6.

hmm.

lol, I've gotten that line once from an Apple store employee!!

:D but I can see that happening. apple store employees aren't picked for their knowledge, they're (in theory) picked for their ability to explain stuff in basic terms, clearly and with enthusiasm.

I can sort of see one saying 'well you know the G5, that was a supercomputer a couple of years ago, this one is the next step up, double the speed and power, a G6 if you will."

If you already know your chips, then maybe you know what you want without needing to speak to an employee...
