Telephone software?

I use my phone alot at work and I would REALLY like to be able to use my USB headset for calls. I know you can get software for windows to allow you to plug a telephone line into your modem and use your PC as a phone. Anything like that for Mac? I don't need to dial just pick up the phone and talk. I also don't need an answering machine.
