Hey, so I coulda sworn that pre-SL, if you quit iChat with chats open, they wouldn’t reappear next time you launched iChat (this is with transcription saving turned off, I’m just talking about a blank chat window with that person opening). But now, it always opens a new chat window for everyone I still had a window open for before quitting. Am I crazy? Can this be turned off?

I hate to bump my own thread, but doesn’t anyone know anything about this?

any wiser?

Hi - I started having the same problem recently. Have you figured out in the meantime how to stop those windows from opening? It's really annoying!
Thanks!

I'm on Leopard and if I leave a chat window open when I quit iChat, it will open it automatically the next time I start iChat.

Closing the chat windows before I quit iChat is the only way I know to stop them from opening when it starts.

I really would love a solution to this. Maybe it will come with Lion?

All I know is I'm a little late to the Snow Leopard party--having bought it only so that I can upgrade to Lion (and play Portal 2)--and this problem is driving me absolutely crazy.

Why would they remove a preference option like this?
