tell me what you think of my powerbook purchase

i just purchased a powerbook locally from ebay. i just picked it up from the seller and love it. tell me what you guys think of the deal. i paid 900 for it. in the description he forgot to mention it has 2 yrs left of apple care! i plan on selling the keyboard and mouse as well.

also does this model include the backlit keyboard?

I'm thinking for $200 more you get a MacBook but I'm sure you had your reasons.

yes i wanted a macbook, but if i was going to get one i wanted the 1299 model with the dvd burner. the powerbook has a superdrive so i was happy with that. ive also read about all the problems they have with them right now. so for the 450 extra i can't see the point in getting it for what ill be using it for.

And the 2 years of Applecare is worth a few quid.

It sounds like a good deal. If it's enough computer for you, you made a good choice.

yes i will be using it for email, web, ichat and some dvd movies. nothing heavy at all. i have my core duo imac for that.

It's nice, its very similar to the powerbook I'm using right now, same processor (speed), its running Tiger, its 15" and it has a 9700 Radeon, 512mb ram too.

Its very fast in Tiger and I like this machine a lot so I'm sure you'll like yours as well too.

do you know if the video card supports the cool water droplet effect in dashboard?

yeah the dashboard effect is present for that graphics card.
