Uni MacBook 2.4 and New Mac Mini How could it get any better

I have a MB Unibody 2.4 loaded with 4GB/320GB HD and I love it to death and could not think it would get any better, but I just got a Mac Mini 2.0 with 2GB/320GB and between the two and Wireless in my House I am living the life only a Windows user could dream of. My Wife and I fight of the Mini but the MB is all mine, I just hope more people make the switch and realize how much stuff Apple has to make watching movies, listening to music and wireless connections in your own house a complete dream and my next step is Apple TV...YAY

So What do you have and are you as excited, tell us your story

Great stories, eh?

Well, today, my notebook has gone through a kernel panic and six beachballs along with dropping my network once.

True stories, I kid you not!

Hmm here's a good one. I took my uMBP to the Apple store a month ago because the ethernet stopped working. They sent it to Texas for repairs and all was dandy a week later. I got it back and the batter cover was loose and the screen snapped when I opened it. Then the ethernet stopped working again a week ago so I took it back to Apple on Tuesday. The genius marked the loose battery cover and screen issue as "minor cosmetic" issues but still sent it for logic board replacement because of the ethernet. I kept checking the status of the repair all week and it said "shipment pending," so I finally called AppleCare today only to find out that they forgot to ship my computer out. FML.

That's cute!

I think this is for happy stories, but its true that more people visit tech forums when they have issues. I don't have a laptop though, so I have no story to tell(yet;))

Do you mean to tell us that seeing that multi-colored, spinning beach ball of fun doesn't bring a huge smile to your face? I believe that my story is quite happy. /sarcasm

My story from this january :D

part 1

Thank you Apple.

My journey started out last Friday, when i experienced screen banding on my early 08 Macbook Pro. I booked an appointment for the next day. I take it in and show them the banding issues and they took it in for repairs.

After 4 days waiting for a replacement screen to come in, i get a call yesterday to pick it up.

I go today to pickup up my laptop and i test it out in the store. I noticed that the back light on the screen was not working. So they took it in again, and i was really frustrated at not having a laptop for a week because i really needed it for school. I remained calm and talked nicely to the employee.

I get a call about 30 minutes ago saying that they could not fix the issue. They tried replacing the screen again, logic board etc. Nothing fixed the issue.

AND THEY ARE REPLACING IT WITH A UNIBODY MACBOOK PRO.

I am going to pick it up tomorrow morning as they are doing data migration to the new laptop.

I LOVE YOU APPLE

Part 2

I just got back from the apple store, and i love my new laptop lol.

I don't know if this is a mistake or not, but they gave me the one with a 2.53 processor, 4 gig ddr3 ram, and a 320 gb hd. I had a 2.4 ghz with 2 gig ddr2 ram and 250 gb HD.

Looks like they upgraded it for me because they still have the other model available in Unibody

Im a happy camper no mater what, i love you apple.

a feel good story :)

1st Macbook Pro - bad screen
2nd Macbook Pro - huge dent
3rd Macbook Pro - bent hinge
4th Macbook Pro - 2.66, wanted the 2.93 but was tired or waiting so went to the store and got the 2.66

Wow

I bought a new MacBook Air this weekend (the SSD version) for 26% off the retail price !!!

And it's a perfect computer: no lines on screen, no overheating, and no DVD drive :D (remote disc works well)

That's my happy story - the story of my previous Mac isn't too sweet :)

Barbie.

I bought mine UMBP three weeks ago, i payed an additional 100 euros and got 3 year no-matter-what guarantee which include

any kind of physical damage( falling on the ground, liquid spill...)
-fire, explosion of any sort.
-electrical shock(high voltage)
-factory damages caused in production

I have so many bad memories of the beach ball from when seeing it on a 1999 iMac ment it was time to reboot. So many bad memories:( But never had an issue with a 2007 iMac, so now I'm a happy camper!:D
