Whilst digging around for Terminal apps for prehistoric Smartphones, I came across this Telnet app for OS8/9:

The developers have now kindly made it (and many others) freeware.

It's great if your want to explore the BBS world - on OSX you can simply use Terminal.

Huu, that makes me remind those days in the early 90ies with a tiny HP Omnibook (Win3.1), beeping&scratching modems and ever miraculous progs like trumpet-winsock to connect to the internet.
I also remember Mocha W32 PPP: connect a 'Palm' device with the internet through your PC's internet connection ... (crazy times).

Not to mention the high phone-bills... :(

One highlight on win3.1 to remember: "askSam". To hold all my collected documents etc.
(A brilliant software at it's time though now far behind Spotlight and e.g. DEVONthink)
