Temp of Your Mac

What temperatures do your macs run at? I think mine is at 115 degrees Fahrenheit well according to SmcFanControl. What is an optimal temperature?

im at 121 f and 47 c.

I maxed out my processor the other day, and the temp of it was reading about 89 c...

All I was doing was using handbrake to encode a DVD into a mpg4 video too...



But right now it's averaging 50, fans at 1.8k, sitting on my lap.

My MacBook averages around 52-55 C (125-131 F) with the fan at 3K.

I have seen it go as high as 88 C (190 F) with the fan roaring around 6K+ when doing a disk permissions verify or using Handbrake to rip DVDs. I never like to see my temperature go that high and I always expect there to be a problem, but i've never encountered any problems. It can't be good for the longevity of my MacBook though.
