With the Retina Macbook Pro, Apple redesigned the way that it circulates air with small slits on the sides. Has anyone noticed a running temp difference? The old unibody design tended to get very hot (partially due to high activation temps). I'm wondering if the new RMBP runs cooler.

The older Macbook Pros ran hot to the touch because they are made of metal. Metal is a very good conductor of heat. Most Dells and HPs are made of plastic. This is why they appear to run cooler, but actually run about the same.
