Apple hasn’t expanded the use of blood oxygen sensor yet. Now, we have the temperature sensor and as you know the ways we can use it is very limited. Do you think Apple will utilize these two sensors in different ways in future updates? How can Apple use these two sensors?

Seems crazy that I can't just see current temperature with this new sensor.
I find it silly as well but Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 5’s temperature sensor works just like S8’s. I think it might be about the fact that these sensor haven’t received approval from FDA yet.

We got the temp sensor as it was about the only sensor that could be added with todays technology. It was an easy thing to add but not much us for me.

We need to hear from some of the girls who are on here to find out if the temp sensor is informative.

current temperature of what?
The sensor?
This is not the the same as the temperature of the air or of your wrist.
I think wilberforce tried to say that you could not use it as thermometer to check your current body (wrist) temperature.

Not surprising, when you sleep usually your surroundings have the similar temperature, but when you are up during a day it’s harder to get delta between surrounding temperature and body to remove differences comming to readings.
But that’s only my guess but for sure Apple Watch takes both top and down temp sensors to use for readings all the time.

That’s why it’s easier to get water temperature as it’s dense and same temp all around, when with air you have winds, moisture etc.
