Temperatures Stuck

I've got a new MBPr 13 and I have download TG Pro and iStat Menu among other apps and all of them don't update the temperatures. The apps seem to be stuck for a good while at a certain temp. It's almost as if it only updates once every twenty minutes or something. The gauge could be at 38c with it idle and then I would fire up a few safari windows with YouTube playing and the temperatures wouldn't budge. Fifteen minutes later the reverse would happen. Usually though it's almost as if it only has two readings in it. After I wake it up.. it'll go from 33C to 45C then to 52C then not move for 20 minutes no matter what I do or don't do. It's really weird. Any ideas? Much thanks.
