Ok, currently my imac 27 inch has gotten really hot , around 76 celsius or so only in 15 min of use. And he GPU would sometimes hit 57. I would expect the fans to be on high, but Im not really hearing much. Does anyone have a solution to this?

I really wish people would not download these temperature monitors because most people have no idea how to interpret what they see. Your iMac has temperature sensors which trigger things like fan speed and other hardware saving measures. If your computer was going to overheat it would tell you or automatically shutdown. If you are still concerned you can talk to apple and see what they say.

Cheers

Actually 76C is pretty darn hot for an iMac. Not dangerously so, but not great either.

OP, if there is flash in any of the internet tabs you have open, there's your answer. Otherwise, check Activity Monitor to find out what is using so much CPU.
