I've seen a lot of threads about the regular temperatures in OSX Lion. How are they using bootcamp? Are people still seeing overheating issues within Windows 7?

Could it be a operating system issue since most people are saying they see it after the upgrade

Macs run hotter in bootcamp due to windows' poor fan management.

Has nothing to do with the hardware, and everything to do about the poorly done drivers. You can download utilities to regulate fan speeds in windows to make the temperatures the same as what you'd see in OS X.

Oh. Lame. Thank you for the great explanation.

Also in windows, the newer 15" and 17" cannot use graphics switching, so they will always run the discrete card, generating more heat in the process.

Had forgotten to mention that.
