Tempered glass screen protector with a case

I know that I was to go with a glass screen protector and im going to use a case. Right now I'm using a spigen tough armor and I'll probably end up using something like a pelican protector. Is it better to get something like the zagg so the edges don't touch or would it be beneficial to get the iloome screen mate that goes edge to edge and have the case lips overlap the glass?
