Terminal Chat

Hi ya,

I was looking for an all in one solution for chat in terminal. The best solution I saw so far was WeeChat. It allows for IRC, so I can connect to Slack. There seems to be add-on for Gtalk and other chat services.

Has anyone used this or is there alternate or better solutions?

Is irssi available for the Mac? I used irssi for a while during my years on Linux and it proved to be an excellent irc client.

Ah awesome. It looks like it's still active and has regular updates. I'll give it a go!

Irssi is wonderful! Lots of available themes and scripts, highly configurable. The project uses the #irssi channel on Freenode for support.
