Hello.

Does anyone know of a Terminal command, which allows me to see, which processes download and upload at what speeds?

I seem to remember having done such thing some years ago, but my search-fu is leaving me behind.

Thanks in advances,

You should use other search terms, you idiot.

Use nettop command to check per-application network activity in OS X

Yep, does not work on my brothers late 2008 MacBook running 10.6.8:

I am connected via TeamViewer, as he is seeing a constant download speed of 1.0 MB/s and upload speed of 45 KB/s, all applications except Activity Monitor and Finder and Terminal are closed.

I tried iStat Menus 4, as it shows the processes downloading the most, but not on his machine, probably due to an older OS or older hardware.

What the frell do I do now?

Yupp, NETTOP is not included in Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard.
Will try my hands at HandsOFF, as the DTRACE command seems a bit convoluted right now.

Will keep me updated and see how often the system automerges.
