does anyone know of a way to, when Safari is opened, automatically put it into private browsing mode? is there an option for this in some pref menu that I'm missing? oh, and I'll need to be able to disable this feature, so setting history items to 0 on tinkertool won't help.

I have created two little Applescripts for you, which can be run like normal programs.

PrivateSafariOpen.app = this will run Safari then turn on Private Browsing with no need for your input.

PrivateSafariQuit.app = this will close Safari after turning off Private Browsing.

I added the Safari icons to them, but you can change that.

Hope you find these useful.

The code is is trivial but getting AppleScript to click on stuff is a pain, for some reason. Can't remember it off the top of my head but it is basic Applescripting.

Oh, apparently there is no need to use the Quit version, as Safari automatically turns it off when you quit.

I am calling this update 10.5 and you need to pay me £90 for it.
