Terminal error Connection Refused - iPad

I have installed XBMC on my jailbroken iPad but i need to update the XBMC files on my iPad, i am trying to connect to my iPad via Terminal on my iMac but when i try to connect using the IP Address per my iPad I am getting a "Connection refused" message.


command is "ssh root@ipadIPaddress"

Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.
