So, I've been trying to add a few useful features via terminal, most found at blacktree secrets, and every time i use any command i get the same error:

brad-2:~ Bmeckel$ defaults write com.apple.iPhoto MapScrollWheel
2009-05-30 14:45:13.703 defaults[30969:10b]
Rep argument is not a dictionary
Defaults have not been changed.

Anyone know why this comes up for all default writes (all that i have tried at least, which is about 7-8)

You should have a value, so something like

defaults write com.apple.iPhoto MapScrollWheel 1

Or whatever. I'm not sure exactly what that particular key expects, but the general concept.

Why thank you! I evidently am such a terminal newbie i totally missed that. thanks again!
