I just opened up the Terminal on my Mac and instead of saying the name of the Mac (as listed under Sharing in System Preferences) at the command line, it said "AppleTV".

Though I do have an Apple TV, it was not even plugged in at the time, and I haven't hacked it and set up SSH or anything like that.

I did some Googling and was unable to find any other record of this issue.

The Mac in question is running OS X Leopard with all the updates on an ethernet connection to a secure router.

I closed the Terminal, poked around in System Preferences, and opened it again, and the name of the computer came back, but I'm confused as to what happened.

Can anyone chip in here? It seems as if my Mac thought it was an Apple TV or something...

Does anyone know anything about this? Interestingly, my router also says that an Apple TV is connected via Ethernet instead of the iMac (the actual Apple TV is hooked up via WiFi).
